Quick start guide for new users

Create Your First Resume

Welcome to FreeResumeBuilder.app! Follow these simple steps to create your first professional resume.

  1. Sign up for a free account - Click on "Get Started" or "Sign Up" to create your account. You can sign up using your email and password, or use Google sign-in for faster authentication.
  2. Verify your email - After signing up, check your email inbox and click the verification link. This ensures your account is secure and unlocks all features.
  3. Click "Create New" - Once you're logged in, navigate to your dashboard and click the "Create New" button in the top right corner or use the navigation menu.
  4. Select a template - Browse through our collection of professional resume templates. Each template has a preview showing its layout. Choose one that matches your industry and personal style.
  5. Start building - Begin filling in your information:
    • Personal details (name, email, phone, address)
    • Professional summary
    • Work experience
    • Education
    • Skills
    • Custom sections (projects, certifications, etc.)
  6. Watch it auto-save - Your resume automatically saves as you type. Look for the save status indicator in the top-right corner showing "Saving..." or "Saved".
  7. Preview in real-time - The preview panel on the right side shows exactly how your resume will look. It updates instantly as you make changes.
  8. Download your PDF - When you're satisfied with your resume, click the "Download PDF" button to generate and download your resume file.

Account Setup

Creating an account is quick and easy. We offer two authentication methods for your convenience:

Email & Password

Traditional sign-up using your email address. We require a strong password for security.

Google Sign-In

One-click authentication using your Google account. Fast, secure, and convenient.

Important: After signing up, make sure to verify your email address. Email verification is required to unlock all features and ensure the security of your account.

Basic Navigation

Once you're logged in, you'll see the main navigation menu. Here's what each section does:
